Rainbow started her Ashtanga yoga training in Yogashala (Hong Kong) in 2000 with Michel Besnard, Michel being the devoted student of Shri K Pattabhi Jois, passed on the teaching of Yoga Korunta to her. After moving to New Zealand in 2006, she continued her Ashtanga yoga study with Peter Nilsson /Jude Hynes at the Yoga Academy, Auckland. 

In 2008, Rainbow completed her YA200 training in Shanghai and started her teaching career. Later in the year Rainbow completed her YA300 training with Yoga Arts (Australia) to become RYT500 instructor. She focus primarily in teaching Ashtanga vinyasa as she continued her study with John Scott and Saraswathi Jois. Rainbow is now listed teacher of KPJAYI, Mysore India, as well as YA approved E-RYT500/YACEP instructor. 

Currently Rainbow is splitting her teaching in two places: Hung Yoga Studio in Shanghai and Hung Yoga Academy in Auckland. She is helping more Chinese students to understand yoga lifestyle and the practice in a safe and healthy way. At the same time Rainbow pays annual visit to Mysore, India to continue her Ashtanga study at KPJAYI where she is teaching assistant for Saraswathi Jois.
