Crispin Clarke, RYT 200, loves yoga for its peace making, joyful experience and health benefits. He dedicated ten years ago to regular yoga asana practice in order to mitigate the rare late onset of a severe autoimmune disease. The accompanying wisdom ethics of yogic philosophy has helped him to live an empowered active life ever since and plans to live until 108 years old :-) Crispin studied ashtanga hatha vinyasa with Chaitanya Das, founder of the Bhakti Yoga School, and acroyoga with Syam Vallabhi DD, director of Yogendra Ashram in Colombia. He studied yogic sound and chant with Devi Daly at MC Yogi's Point Reyes Yoga. He has studied bhakti yoga and kirtan music with Jai Uttal and Nubia Teixeira. His personal approach to yoga is technical, athletic and mystical. He enjoys energetic flow sequences, in particular the classic Ashtanga Primary Series, with integrated alignments and full expressions of the postures while developing harmony of the body-breath-mind. He incorporates yogic musical sound into his classes, playing the handpan metal drum during sukhasana and savasana. I humbly follow and honored to teach Hatha Vinyasa Raja Yoga.
