Léonie Studies and practices Yoga since 2006. Formerly trained as a painter and martial artist in the Korean tradition of Taekwon Do, these practices, both involving the body, mind and spirit, led her to encounter the Hatha Yoga method. She continued her learning in the Jois Ashtanga tradition, travelling abroad to study with different teachers. In the recent years, she was asked to teach in her community. This pushed her to deepen her practice of meditation and asana. From 2017 to 2018, she completed her certification with Allison Ulan, her first Ashtanga teacher, in Montreal. The sacred passing of knowledge, experience and energy between apprentice and teacher was and is still a living process of tremendous importance in her life. The many masters in art, meditation, movement and Yoga that she has encountered form a unique source of abundance that she keeps nourishing and feeds from, with an intense and wild heart.
Since 2016, she works regularly with elders, young professionals and sporadically teaches workshops to children in schools. She sustains a painting practice in her studio by the st-Lawrence river and lives with her life partner.
