Tom left a decades-long career in Corporate Finance to deepen his own yoga practice and inspire others to develop their own. He studied with yoga masters in San Francisco for over 20 years before relocating to the East Coast; achieving his RYT200 certification in 2018.
Tom’s practice helped him counteract the stressful effects on the mind, body and spirit from the relentless demands of a sedentary Corporate career. Tom’s intention is to bring the transformational power of yoga to the community; inspiring others to develop and deepen their own practice. He loves the inclusive nature of yoga and thinks “every body” – every age, gender, ethnicity, body type and ability, sexual orientation, and religious affiliation - can develop and benefit from a yoga practice. He believes that yoga is an essential complement to other fitness activities. Tom has also seen how yoga helps individuals rediscover their true, more compassionate selves and their connectedness to others; creating a positive force within their communities.
Tom brings his lifelong passion for music to his playful and soulful sessions for beginners and more vigorous Vinyasa Flow classes for advanced practitioners. Tom’s classes flow through creative sequences based on traditional Sun Salutations; linking breath to movement and building strength and endurance while peeling away the layers of armor we accumulate as we go about our lives.
