I was introduced to Yoga in 2003 by two of my high school AP Physics students who thought I would like Yoga (in other words, they thought I needed Yoga!).  An avid practitioner from that day forward, I wanted to pay forward by giving the gift of Yoga back to all age groups.  I received my  RYT 200 from YogaFit International and have achieved E-RYT 200.

I have a special interest in bringing the benefits of Yoga to children and teens.  I received my 95-hour Children’s Yoga teacher certification through ChildLight Yoga.  My educational journey continues with children and teen yoga trainings through YogaKids, ChildLight Education Co. and YogaFit.  I developed and instruct a daily Yoga for Fitness and Wellness class for high school girls within the Physical Education department at the high school where I teach AP and College Credit Physics.  My students regularly request that we open or close class with breath and gentle movement - especially before they take midterms and exams!

I instruct adult Hatha and Mixed Vinyasa classes at GranvilleYoga in Ohio.  My adult classes focus on flexibility, strength, balance and release.  I like to incorporate a variety of tempos and offer pose explorations using props.  My children’s classes weave educationally-based themes with age-appropriate breathwork and fun individual, partner and group poses.  My middle-school young teen classes promote positive self-image through encouraging affirmations and supporting connections with the breath using individual, partner, group and restorative poses. My high school girls class emphasizes building self-esteem, positivity and the sense of ‘being enough’ while practicing Hatha, Vinyasa and restorative yoga.
