Understanding emotions, and how they affect our everyday lives has always been my lifelong pursuit.
Ever since I embarked on this vibrant healing path, I have been yearning to learn how Yoga could be used as a tool to cope with thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, to aid others on their journey to healing theirs.
From Guayaquil, Ecuador, I was always a teacher at heart, as a professor of Language Arts, Spanish, ESL, and Theater.
In my 20’s, I turned to Kung Fu and Qi Gong to overcome personal battles. I found important tools in ancient Chinese philosophy to master concentration and discipline. I became a black belt in Shaolin Kungfu and a Qi gong instructor.
During my 40’s, my quest to better understand my energy and emotions, I discovered my passion for Yoga which made my personal dilemmas and traumas became crystal clear. This led me to a new path, to become a Therapist.
I designed my signature program derived from my experience as a Cognitive Behavioral therapist and my knowledge of Yogic principles. CBT Yoga with Paty Masson.
At 55, I was diagnosed with severe Osteoporosis and Rheumatoid Arthritis, in hands, hips, legs and neck. I was shocked to learn this, as was my doctor. Now my profession and my practice are taking care of me. I am mentally and physically able to live my life to the fullest and to share what has worked for me.
I teach at various Senior Centers and also in Assiting Living places, creating classes , workshops and educational activities which help seniors to feel more active physically , emotionally and spiritually .
