Most will experience trauma in their lifetime. As a survivor of childhood abuse, poverty and persistent pain, I innately understand some of the challenges trauma can create physically, mentally ,emotionally and spiritually for folks. I am passionate about teaching yoga from a trauma informed perspective to allow the practice to be accessible for every body.
I strive to cultivate a therapeutic space, meeting students where they are at, in order to befriend their body and learn to use it as a resource through movement, stillness and breath practices. By using invitational language, with an emphasis on choice and introception, I offer support for embodiment to foster connection, compassion, regulation and resilience. This unique approach to yoga can help to promote healing, growth, empowerment and a sense of community for survivors to live healthy and authentic lives.
I offer a variety of different classes online and in person at 11:11 Hot Yoga & Fitness in Mission, B.C. I also teach private and semi private Yoga Therapy classes tailored to you in Abbotsford, B.C.
