Yoga and mindfulness changed my life, and I am grateful for this opportunity to share the practice’s magic with you.

My focus is on cultivating calm on all levels of the being: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually (energetically) to support one’s overall well-being and balance on and off the mat.

Yes, I know, that sounds cliché but it’s true! Here’s my story:

Originally from Toronto, Canada, I am currently parked in Hoi An, Vietnam. If you had met me years ago, I wasn’t very calm, actually I was quite angry, impatient and short tempered. I didn’t know how to take care of these strong emotions so instead, they took hold of me. Yoga and mindfulness became essential tools in my practice of taking care of myself, my body and my emotions — transforming anger, tightness and tension into space for calm, compassion and understanding.

Since stepping on the mat over a decade ago, I discovered that the mat isn't just a place to sweat, it’s a place to breathe freely, to connect, to balance, and to find harmony. Whether we're looking to move, flow and discover our bodies or simply learn to breathe deeply with awareness and joy, yoga and mindfulness give us the space and tools to do so.

In my classes, I bring mindfulness cues to allow students to explore, experiment and get creative. Learning to use your breath to return to the present moment enhances self awareness and allows us to gently + lovingly observe what’s going on in and around us. Expect my classes to be grounding and calm, yet dynamic and fun, making it accessible for all levels and body-types. Classes can include a mix of mindful movement, meditation, chanting, and pranayama or breathing techniques.

My teachings and practice draw on the Zen Buddhist teachings of Vietnamese monk Thich Nhat Hanh, the Plum Village spiritual community, and my teachers Hang & Sarah of saigon om.

With a more calm state of being, I easily enjoy many wonders of life including the sound of the ocean, delicious green & leafy herbs, and strong coffee. I also founded of Yoga in Vietnam - Vietnam's leading source for yoga and wellness.
