Mai Li is an E-RYT 500, YACEP certified yoga instructor, and the founder of Mai Elements. Her interest in natrual healing led her to study traditional Chinese medicine, which she now incorporates into her yoga teachings. Mai's focus extends to human anatomy, fasciology, pain management, emotional healing, and exploring the body's self-healing mechanisms and natural therapeutic methods.
To deepen her understanding of Yin Yoga, Mai began incorporating meridian theory, Tai Chi, and myofascial healing into her classes. She frequently travels to Northern India to further her education and studies under Jo Phee, the senior assistant to Yin Yoga founder Paul Grilley.
Mai's holistic approach to teaching combines yoga and Chinese medicine, helping her students address long-term physiological and psychological issues. Her teaching style blends Eastern and Western wisdom, empowering her students to find balance and harmony on a physical, mental, and spiritual level.
In addition to yoga asanas and meridian theory, Mai's classes also incorporate her in-depth understanding of anatomy, fasciology, and emotional healing, providing a comprehensive yoga experience that assists her students in achieving harmony and balance within themselves. Her passion for energy healing and related holistic theories drives her interest in traditional Chinese medicine and other integrative mind-body approaches.
