Sav was born and raised in Central AR, and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Central Arkansas and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Brown University. She is licensed as a psychotherapist (LAC/LAMFT) and a bodyworker (LMT) in Arkansas and is trained in numerous trauma resolution modalities. Her passion is the interplay between mind and body, and as a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner, she weaves the neurobiology and neurophysiology of trauma, resilience, and embodiment into all that she does.
Sav found yoga as an overweight and out of shape teenager; ten years later, she keeps coming back to her mat day in and day out. She has studied with Rachel Brathen, Lara Heimann, Kino MacGregor, Tiffany Cruikshank, Zabie Yamasaki, and Ram Jain. She has completed over 700+ hours of yoga education, including training in over 100+ hours of trauma-sensitive yoga, 40+ hours of yoga nidra, 50+ hours of yin yoga, 85+ hours of prenatal/postnatal yoga, and 95+ hours of children's yoga. Sav holds designation as an E-RYT 200, RPYT, and YACEP with Yoga Alliance.
