^Now that that's out of the way... I discovered yoga as a child thanks to a hippie school and parents, first encountering asana practice through 1970s paperbacks by Richard Hittleman.
As a young adult, eventually, I started my practice with others in New York City, and even through some wild days and life's ups and downs, the practice has always been there for me to come back to myself.
I completed my 200-hour training in 2017 at Laughing Lotus with the express intent of making the physical and spiritual practice accessible to every body. I believe strongly yoga can enrich everyone's life, regardless of income, race, gender, physical ability, and any other factor.
By getting in tune with and strengthening ourselves physically, mentally, and spiritually, we can radiate positive change out into the world.
To that end, I love to teach open-level vinyasa classes, full of physical modifications and options for every ability in the room, and set to great music to flow free in your body. The physical practice isn't about doing a "perfect"-looking pose for social media; indeed there is no "perfect" expression of a pose.
Beyond this, my passion is teaching community classes, especially those in untraditional yoga spaces. I also am available to donate private sessions for charity auctions and other fundraising efforts to benefit groups fighting for justice and change.
