A student of yoga since 2002 and teacher of yoga since 2011, my practice and teachings are influenced by the Himalayan Institute tradition and thus greatly informed by Ayurveda. Taking into consideration each individual's whole person health, I love to find ways to gently release tension and open the mind-body-heart with my students.
I have recently completed my 500 hour RYT training with a focus on Yoga Nidra and Insight Meditation. My current business, Thornwood Yoga, draws its name from the small acreage I live on outside of Ashland, NE with my husband with myriad farm animals and garden patches.
My purpose through Thornwood Yoga is to EDUCATE, PRACTICE, and RETREAT through Wellness Presentations, workshops, in-home personal yoga services, and local and international retreats. I teach regular Chair Yoga classes to senior centers, by donation classes for local non-profits, at the Benson High School Yoga Club and lead annual retreats to France & Spain.
Join me on my next overseas adventure in June 2020 called Radical Rest: Yoga + Self-Care Retreat in the Gascony region of France. We'll stay at a château on six beautiful wooden acres and deep dive into restorative yoga, yoga nidra, meditation, and theories of self-care and yoga and how to apply them.
