Chance York is a creative leader in Integrative Health & Wellness and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500) with Yoga Alliance. His work ranges vastly as owner of Connected Wellness LLC, including content creation, creative consulting, workshop facilitation, and piloting programs for youth and adults. He also directs the nonprofit program, Peace In Practice, with the mission of creating a nurturing Yoga and mindfulness programs and professionals to serve BIPOC communities.
Chance's radiant love for the practice is evident in his "Yoga is for everybody," ethos. His style of teaching is fluid with precise and poetic cues that are informed by a number of modalities including Pilates, neuroscience, and physical therapy. His lessons are Trauma-informed and continue to evolve as he currently attends Brown University's specialized program for Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) instructors.
A current Yoga Ambassador for lululemon Minneapolis, Chance's off-the-mat practice has also earned him a Regional Emmy Award as the host of the PBS webseries, "Outside Chance"
Another of Chance's projects, My Brothers Heal, Yoga for Black Men, was featured in OkayPlayer, discussing the role of in-person community healing.
