Lauren is a mother of two young boys and two cats. She lives in her hometown, which she returned to after living in different parts of the country for the past 13 years. Outside of teaching yoga to children and caregivers, Lauren enjoys a newfound hobby of stained glass art and cross-stitching. She loves to listen to audiobooks and podcasts, as well as watch her two boys grow and explore!
Her background is in social work and education, specifically special education. Lauren found that she was more attracted to the social-emotional learning aspect of education compared to the academic part. She found herself leaving the public schools and transitioning to child yoga, which has many components of social-emotional wellness, along with physical exercise through movement.
Lauren graduated from her first child yoga teacher training (YTT) program in 2015 and quickly enrolled in an adult yoga YTT program to acquire her 200-hour YTT qualifications. Lauren has now completed over 95 hours of specialized child yoga teacher training as well as 30 hours of Accessible Yoga teacher training, which makes yoga accessible to every person, no matter their differences.
