A yoga teacher specialising in yin yoga, gentle yin&yang (mixing in qi gong) and restorative yoga. I also teach Unnata Aerial Yoga and yoga wall.
I am a qualified massage therapist and have taught musculoskeletal anatomy and massaging techniques to health care professionals. Besides, I have two master's degrees from University of Helsinki - philosophy and education -, and teach laughter yoga as well.
In my teaching, I'm trying to empower students to take care of their bodies and to feel and learn what happens in their bodies and minds while they are doing yoga and moving their focus to their breathing. I like to teach slower paced, precise movements, encourage to explore the lightness of moving, using the gravity to ground poses and the difficulty of staying calm in yin poses. I strongly encourage students to find their own alignments that are suited to their unique bodies. Yoga is for everyone: you just need to find the path around old injuries and pain. My classes are not just asana practices but I encourage students to try pranayama, dharana and pratyahara as well.
I love to explore yoga in different settings: doing it pairwise, with animals, in aerial silks, in forest etc. So many times we find the comfort and ease in not so serious settings.
