Karen was interested in yoga for about ten years before taking her first group yoga class. She was afraid to try yoga because she thought her body was not a yoga body.
Karen fell in love with yoga during that first class, and over the years since it has become her joy and passion to share yoga with others -- particularly with those who are reluctant to try yoga for the same reasons she once was. Karen believes that yoga is a beneficial practice -- in part due to research showing its benefits, and in part because of the positive mental, emotional, and physical changes she has experienced since finding yoga. Karen strives to lead classes that are inclusive of everyone present, offering options for postures so that those brand new to yoga as well as long-time practitioners may benefit. All body sizes, genders, backgrounds, and abilities are welcome, and it is Karen's goal to make sure you are safe, respected, and have fun!
