Cheryl is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and education provider (YACEP), E-RYT200 and RYT500 instructor in Richmond (Steveston), BC.
Cheryl's yoga therapy-based classes focus on a fun, safe, accessible practice for adult clients of all ages and bodies. Her focus is to help clients cultivate interoception to regain strength, stability, agility and endurance based on their individual needs to maintain a balanced body and mind on and off the mat. Her home practice 'yoga snacks' can be easily incorporated throughout the day. She offers in-person group classes, workshops, and both online and mobile private sessions.
Her Yoga Therapist training was completed at
Anja Yoga Therapy College in Victoria, BC. Her yoga instructor training started in 2016 at Salt Spring Island Centre for Yoga. She also has advanced Yin Yoga training with Bernie Clark; Restorative with Tianne Allen; and Yoga Nidra with Soma Yoga Institute; plus advanced training in science-based myo-fascial release techniques.
In addition to her yoga training, Cheryl worked as a senior marketing & communications executive for over 30yrs leading a range of corporate projects including IT infrastructure upgrades through the COVID pandemic. Cheryl was also a dancer, sport participant and ran a half-marathon. Her career and active life provides first-hand experience with the mind-body benefits of yoga for stress management, healing and injury prevention.
