Julie is the founder of The Sakura Yoga, located in Geneva. Her classes are inspired by her own practice in Jivamukti, Dharma and Ashtanga Mysore Style Yoga. In her Vinyasa and Prenatal classes you will be guided towards a final relaxation through a creative mix of dynamic flows and more static postures.
With a touch of humour, Julie is always emphasizing the importance of a safe alignment according to each student's body and the synchronization between breath and movement as well as encouraging her students to develop their own capacities to be more aware of their own inner strengths.
She began her journey on the path of yoga in 2003 after nearly 20 years of ballet and discovered the power of yoga on both body and mind.
In 2016, she decided to become a Hatha yoga teacher in order to spread the benefits of Yoga. She completed this training with a certification in Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga with Sue Elkind in 2019 and one in Restorative Yoga with Audrey Fauvreau in 2020.
In order to help people with more specific health issues, she is currently enrolled in a 500hrs training with Tiffany Cruikshank.
