Founder and director of centre Yoga Sangha in Montreal (Canada), Sylvie Tremblay looks back on 30 years of yoga practice and 25 years of teaching yoga. She teaches throughout the world and has led workshops and retreats in Europe, Central America, South America, Asia, and the United States.
In 2008, she received the title Yogacharia (yoga master) by the International Yoga Federation and the Fédération francophone de yoga for her work and her many years of teaching experience, and the Great Saraswati Price for the managment of the best frenchspeaking yoga school in America, in 2013. She is known in Quebec for her daily television show Absolument yoga! and her two Best Sellers DVD Box set Absolument yoga Hatha and Hatha Flow.
Her travels to India, studies under Swami Muktananda (Siddha Yoga), training at Shivananda schools and the Bihar School of India, studies under Sri Dharma Mittra (Vinyasa Yoga) in New York and, more recently, the Asana Andiappan College of Yoga and Research Centre have allowed her to develop a style that aligns the power of physical body work with the spiritual quest. Mystical, creative, and inspired, each of her classes and training are experiences for the soul as well as for the body.
She is the mother of two wonderful children.
In 2005, Sylvie Tremblay received the title Sri Om Anandamayi from Mahavatar Babaji, the great master who reintroduced the divine science of Kriya yoga to the modern world.

Fondatrice et directrice du centre Yoga Sangha à Montréal, au Canada, Sylvie Tremblay a plus de 30 années de pratique et 25 années d’enseignement du yoga à son actif. Elle enseigne internationalement et a dirigé de nombreux séminaires ainsi que des retraites de formation en Europe, Amérique centrale, Amérique du Sud, Moyen Orient, Asie, de même qu’aux États-Unis. Elle a reçu en 2008 le titre de Yogacharia (Maître en yoga) par la Fédération Internationale de yoga et la Fédération francophone FFY pour son travail et ses années d’enseignement, de même que le Grand Prix Saraswati pour la direction de la meilleure école de yoga francophone en Amérique en 2013.
Elle est connue au Québec pour son émission quotidienne Absolument yoga et ses DVD à succès du même nom. À l'International, elle apparaît en 2013 en couverture du prestigieux International Yoga Journal.
Ses nombreux voyages en Inde (7) et ses études sous la guidance du Swami Muktananda (Siddha Yoga), au sein des écoles Shivananda, Bihar School of India, Vinyasa yoga de Sri Dharma Mittra (New York) et plus récemment du Asana Andiappan College of Yoga and Research Centre (Inde) en application ayurvédique de l'asana sur la santé (300 h) l’ont amenée à développer un style où la puissance du travail physique s’allie à la profondeur du cheminement spirituel engagé. Mystique, créative, inspirée, chacune des classes et des formations qu'elle dirige constitue une expérience pour l’âme aussi bien que le corps.
En 2005, elle reçu l'appellation Sri Om Anandamayi du Mahavatar Babaji, grand maître de l'Inde ayant réintroduit la divine science du Kriya yoga au sein du monde moderne.
Elle est mère de deux enfants et a été unie à son conjoint devant Amma, à Amritapuri (Inde), une relation qui dure depuis plus de 20 ans.
