When life was getting chaotic, I turned to yoga. Immediately, it was a place I could quiet my mind and finally inhabit my body; really focusing in on what it was trying to tell me.
I have always loved dance and movement. Yoga just resinated with me. I was in Environment Health and Safety for almost ten years and some other positions but felt there was something else for me. I decided to take that leap of faith to become a yoga teacher because I wanted to share my passion through teaching in hopes to inspire and transform people to help them realize their full potential.
Taught at orphanages (ages 4 -18) in Bhaktapur and Dhulikhel for NYCDS Foundation. Taught a large class of students (up to 50) from 12-16 at Sanjuwani English District School. This was be a life changing path that made me confront my fears.
I see so many people approaching retirement age with fear as there bodies have decreased mobility with new aches and pains. This is my main focus of study to specialize in yoga for 50+. To teach structured, gentile, restorative yoga and hopefully bring some relief and inspiration into their daily routine.
