My name is Megan Murph and while my full-time job is being a professor (PhD, Musicology/Ethnomusicology), I have been practicing yoga for over seventeen years.
In 2014, I completed my 200-hour RYT certification and in 2020, I completed my Master Reiki certification (Levels 1-3). With my interest in yoga/reiki as well as body positivity, I have fostered an inclusive teaching approach intended for all persons, regardless of age, size, color, gender, or background.
Through a plethora of approaches (restorative, yin, gentle, and chair yoga; sound meditations and energy healing), I have most enjoyed seeing students become more empowered, strong, and conditioned, not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. I believe in a yoga practice that is safe and relaxing but is also confidence-boosting and challenging for the mind, body, and spirit.
