Julie has always loved movement practices, going back to the advent of studio classes in the 80s. She discovered yoga in 2001 and became a student of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga method in 2003. A regular and consistent practice has been part of her life ever since. Trained in 2015 with Yoga Alliance to teach open style yoga, her CPD has included Level I Yoga, Psychology and Yin yoga with Sarah Powers, peri and post-natal yoga, and her most recent interest Paddleboard Yoga. Julie enjoys working with practitioners of all ages and backgrounds to explore and apply the tools and texts of yoga to everyday life. In that sense, every practice she employs has an element of yoga practice within it. Outside the studio she teaches in natural spaces, in parks and on water, and enjoys hot yoga. Come to practice with Julie for a strong, slow practice, with plenty of reference to texts and tools and an appreciation of the histories and philosophies of yoga practices.
