Erin Ehlers: E-RYT 500, C-IAYT, RES-CPT, YACEP, LMT
Erin has been teaching yoga and movement throughout the Seacoast for over 17 years, and opened Yoga on the Hill in 2008. With over 2,280 hours of professional training, and 11,500 hours of teaching experience, she offers classes that are safe, creative and pedagogically sound. Erin seeks quality over quantity. By coaxing a pose out of understanding and clarity, her classes create challenge by releasing tiresome habits and infusing new strength within neglected spaces. In addition to being a yoga teacher, she is a licensed massage therapist.
Erin teaches from a deep knowledge of how movement happens. She weaves the tenets of yoga philosophy into the instruction of movement and yoga poses. She has spent many years as a student of Iyengar yoga, and so carries tradition and devotion in her heart. However, she delves passionately into the sciences of biomechanics and kinesiology to teach from a perspective that questions assumptions about yoga practice. You'll hear equal amounts of Sanskrit and anatomy in her classes.
She lives on Orange Circle Farm with her husband, Jeff, in Berwick. She works with Jeff as an organic vegetable and flower farmer.
