My first experience with yoga asana in 2006 was tender and calming, which was something I was very much in need of at that time in my life. I met my primary teacher a year or two later and jumped head first into my practice, and have never looked back. My first training was for beginner yoga in 2011, after which I attended 100 hours of training in 2012 (One Yoga, Saskatoon) and worked to complete a 200 hour YA certification in 2015 (Namaskar Yoga, Saskatoon). I completed my second 100 hours with One Yoga to receive a second RYT-200 certification in the summer of 2018.
With an educational background in Kinesiology and Social Work, yoga is a perfect fit, as I believe that every day, every body, every story, and every practice must be approached as different from others I have encountered. As my passion for teaching grows, so does my enjoyment of my own practice, enabling me to bring a quiet strength into my daily life as a mother, partner, leader, and student.
