As an athlete and military veteran, Thierry began practicing yoga in 2006 to learn how to manage pain from injuries and surgeries from his time in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He quickly realized that a regular yoga practice helped to reduce and eliminate pain and greatly improve overall quality of life. After a successful amateur tennis career, Thierry turned his focus to long-distance cycling and yoga.
Thierry teaches athletes, veterans, and DoD personnel who have faced or are dealing with traumatic events, people leading stressful lives, and anyone interested in taking and learning yoga.
Thierry is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher at the RYT 500 hour- 200hr Experienced level. In addition to NDU, he teaches Iyengar yoga classes and workshops at the Pentagon, as well as workshops and special events for veterans in the DC-metropolitan area.
