I grew up doing gymnastics and dance during my childhood, which lead me to falling in love with the creativity of body movement. When I was just 18 years old I went to Bali, Indonesia to receive my 200-hour yoga teacher training. Upon doing this training, I learnt that yoga extends beyond moving your body through postures, and means something much more special to my heart. Yoga creates this meaningful connection to everything around you, and a deeper connection to yourself. Through the philosophies of yoga I came across many realizations, and ‘ah ha’ moments, which has inspired me to dive deeper into the practice. This changed everything for me, and I knew my life passion was to share everything I know about what yoga truly is, to as many students as possible.
I have passionately been teaching yoga and fitness practices for nearly 6 years now. I have experience teaching many different yoga styles including Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Yang Yin, Power, Restorative, Meditation, and Buti Yoga. In my classes, I love to create a memorable experience, and to encourage a safe, transformational and beneficial practice to the mind, body and soul. I believe that yoga is for anybody, and everybody. I love to do a lot of continuing education, so that I can constantly share up to date knowledge and experiences with students. Ultimately, I would love my students to share the same passion for yoga, that I feel myself.
My experience in group fitness classes include Total Body Conditioning, Core Conditioning, Bootcamp's, Barre Fitness, Pilates Fusion’s, Coach by Colour Cycling, Beat Cycling, and I am currently undergoing a Personal Training Certification. I love to challenge my students, and create an exciting, encouraging environment to help students achieve their fitness goals.
What makes my heart smile is seeing students in class, or even off their mat, experience an “ah ha” moment. There are many powerful yoga teacher’s I have learnt from that have inspired me, opened my heart, and guided me to feeling a connection, and it makes my heart smile when I see others experiencing this as well.
