Sydney’s Yoga Journey
Sydney became a student of yoga on the beautiful island of Bali, Indonesia. Her heart grew immensely towards the path of yoga from the deep teachings passed along by her teachers Mindi & Bethel. They introduced her to Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, and opened her eyes to all the possibilities yoga has to offer. Bali became a sacred place for Sydney; she knows that the path will bring her back to that space one day.
After Bali, Sydney’s studying continued through the teachings of Reanna Acosta, Tianne Allan, and Christina Raskin. The sadhana (practice) evolved and Sydney gained experience in Yin, Restorative, Meditation, and Power styles of yoga asana. Teaching yoga became a constant in Sydney’s life, and she fully committed to her passion. The more Sydney put her heart & soul into the sadhana, the more she was inspired to learn, practice & share the teachings.
The teachings of Eoin Finn and Janet Stone expanded Sydney’s practice and led her to where she is today. The path of Bhakti yoga has enlightened Sydney to be devoted to the sadhana. In Sydney’s words,
I aspire to dive deeper into the knowledge, deeper into the practice and deeper into the connection to nature, community, movement and the moment. My dharma is to share this practice. To share the tools, the teachings and the experiences while building a sangha. All beings deserve to feel this happiness, this light, and I know that through the path of yoga, through bhakti, that everyone is capable of manifesting this if they choose. My practice is ongoing, and I invite you to join in with me.
“Knowledge without practice is a burden” Janet Stone. Always in sadhana..day in and day out. Practice is continuous...sarvadasadhana.
