Jana Hill certified as a yoga teacher in 2012, completing her 200-hour training at Pacific Yoga in Seattle, Wash. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), with a specialization in suspensory movement, and the body's response to instability in a pose.
Her first yoga-teaching experience was in Santa Monica, and the bulk of her teaching has occurred all over Snohomish County, and in the Stanwood-Camano area. Her teaching experiences have included studios, gyms, workplaces, community centers, and private homes. She brings an Iyengar-inspired, slow-flow style to every yoga-style she has taught; and offers classes or private sessions in flow, Yin, Restorative, Gentle, and Chair Yoga. Student populations have included every age range, but she specializes in teaching both athletic and gentle styles, for 50-plus and seniors.
Jana practices yoga when traveling, tracking down new yoga experiences at every opportunity. She considers herself honored every time she gets a chance to teach, and is known to sometimes announce during a class, while gazing at a roomful of asanas: “Wow, this is just like watching a sunset.”
