I went to my first yoga class in 1996 where I signed up for a 6 week beginner course. I knew I was hooked from the very first class - being a competitive runner all my life yoga provided that calming and relaxing influence I definitely needed. I was on holiday in Byron Bay in 2012 where I attended daily yoga sessions at the Byron Bay Yoga Centre - it was then that I knew I wanted to take my yoga up another level and become a teacher. I started my yoga teacher training with Byron Yoga Centre in February 2013 after nearly 18 years of practising yoga. I made a decision to further my knowledge in yoga, learn more about the yoga philosophy and the lifestyle and a deeper understanding of the asanas and breathing techniques. I started my own yoga space as soon as I graduated from the teachers training course and enjoy providing uplifting, nurturing and challenging practices to my students in a thoughtful and supportive environment. I enjoy designing a yoga practise around recognising the individual levels and requirements of my students and offer interesting and challenging practises - yoga is a journey not a destination.
I have recently completed the Bliss Baby Online Training - Pre-natal, Post-natal and Mums and Bubs Training and now offer yoga to this specialist group.
My yoga will take you through a personal and challenging journey with a series of asanas designed around your special requirements - in a confident, competent, safe and nurturing environment.
