For group classes I primarily teach Alignment Based Vinyasa Flow Yoga, incorporating Patanjali´s eight limb path, Pranayama breathwork, and meditation.
My work in Yoga Therapy is geared towards working 1:1 with clients who are wanting a personal yoga therapy plan tailored to their specific goals, needs, and abilities.
Being a yoga teacher is something I respect more than I can relay, but it is my aim and sacred privilege to lovingly guide students to discover themselves and expand their own practice, safely reaching beyond yesterday´s limitations, while letting go of fears and self doubt. My classes will help you find peace, contentment, a sense of belonging, and confidence in your abilities to love yourself through the gift of your yoga practice. I believe in emphasizing an attitude of kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity towards yourself and others in life both on and off the mat.
Originally from California, I retired as an Army officer in 2009 after a 20 year career filled with world travel and multiple combat deployments. For the next five years I worked as a government contractor in Virginia and the United Arab Emirates before taking the leap and answering the call of my heart to help others as a yoga teacher. In 2014 I completed two month long 200 hour immersion Yoga Teacher Training programs at Anamaya Resort in Montezuma, Costa Rica. I received my training from Peter Kaaberbol Kristensen, ERYT-500, LagoCph, Copenhagen, Denmark & Jaqueline Chiodo, ERYT-500, Joyful Yoga, Bonita Springs, Florida
I graduated in July 2017 with Master of Science Degree in Yoga THER@PY from MUIH. As ROTC Battalion Commander I was selected as the #1 ROTC graduate in the US. I spent several years as a competitive runner and triathlete and have a personal best marathon time of 2h42m.
