Margie admits that she doesn’t recall much about the yoga experience she had back in the 80’s when she signed up for a class at an adult evening school, but it was her intro to yoga and she completed the course.  Adventurous about life and fitness, Margie indulged in various forms of exercise through the years but never went back to the mat. Twenty-five years later, she revisited yoga after joining a gym. In a high pace society accompanied with life’s tensions and stresses, returning to the mat was the nourishment her mind and body needed.  She had an amazing Hatha yoga instructor who unlocked the door for her with the magic words, give your body permission.  With that invitation she surrendered, and her yoga journey resumed.

Inspired to take her practice further, Margie discovered Vinyasa yoga at Power Yoga Works.  She was enriched in a non-judgmental atmosphere by the yogis and a group of knowledgeable instructors in practices that were both challenging and transforming. She left each session blissfully invigorated.  Margie signed up for teacher training in Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga style earning her 200 RYT with Yogi Alliance in 2014. The key element of importance in her practice is the power of the breath by which one gains awareness of the mind and body connection working through each asana.

With a genuine spirit of giving, she now wears the heart of yoga on her sleeve and believes it’s every bit as vital as food or water. She endeavors to share this new found passion so that others too can reap the incredible sense of well being in this life-transforming process. Now approaching her timeline at the 60 mark, Margie will be the first to encourage others that it’s never too late to start a rebirth.  She is also Pilates certified and is interested in the studies of the therapeutic benefits of Yoga practice. Margie is the mother of three handsome young men, works with children with special needs and has a background in interior design, feng shui, fine arts and textile design.
