Michelle Doublet, LCSW E-RYT YACEP

Michelle is a well-rounded, spiritual individual with an extensive background in performing arts, dance and fitness competitions. After graduating from The Long Island High School of The Arts, she went on to major in dance at Nassau Community College. There she performed in shows such as, "The Pajama Game" and "Free to be You and Me." While she has sustained a love for the arts since childhood and taught dance throughout her teens and adult life, during her early twenties she also began to find a passion for psychology and helping others; it fulfilled her. She began to pursue socialwork–traveling to Spain, South Dakota and North Dakota serving others in need. In 2011 and 2012, Michelle went on to graduate from Molloy College and NYU with a focus on Clinical Social Work and Trauma. She then joined the clinical team where she provides individual and group work for individuals who struggle with severe mental health issues (i.e anxiety, depression, PTSD). Michelle has extensive training in trauma informed care and takes a trauma sensitive approach when working with others. She aid's to empower others to empower themselves in the development of strong coping skills to help them manage & maintain a healthy lifestyle & well-being. While work and education fueled her mind, she tirelessly joined fitness competitions and yoga classes to maintain a healthy body and spirit. Michelle completed in two NPC National Championships and placed top three both times. She had never felt better, and she believed she could up lift others in the same way. Ultimately, Michelle decided that she wanted to dedicate her life to helping others achieve a healthy mind and body through the work as a Clinical Social Worker and through Yoga. In 2014, she completed her Intense Yoga Teacher Training through Yoga-Oasis, completing her 200-hour certification. Michelle begun providing her services immediately thereafter and strongly believes in the mind body spiritual connection, the importance of ongoing training and education. Michelle had developed a Yoga track at Federation of Organizations in the PROS program & bringing Yoga into some of Long Island Hospitals Weight Management Programs as well. Michelle teaches at various Yoga studios & gyms on Long Island and continues to bring the power of Yoga everywhere!
