Jeannette has been a student of yoga since 2003, and a teacher since 2014. Her teaching and her own personal practice are a constantly evolving process that includes many different aspects of yoga. Meeting students where they are, her classes offer various elements of a well-rounded practice: postures (asana) with specific physical alignment, awareness of the breath (pranayama), intelligent sequencing, visualization, stillness, meditation and more. Jeannette believes that by deepening our self-knowledge we begin to have choices, and when we have choices we can live more wisely. By creating a space that facilitates exploration, inquiry, and an appreciation of slowing down and looking within, her classes empower students with the tools and knowledge to become self-aware and to be able to make their own wise choices. Jeannette also facilitates classes in Yoga Nidra.
She is a student of Rod Stryker’s and has received 400 hours of formal teacher training with Jeanne Heileman at YogaWorks and Annie Carpenter’s SmartFlow, all of whom she continues to study and practice with. Jeannette is also a 200-hour RYT with Yoga and has had the great fortune to learn from other inspiring teachers, including Mary Bruce, David Frawley, Christina Sell, Mary McDermott Jules Mitchell.
