Yogini Mimi’s influences include the study of Vinyasa Flow, Bikram Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and South Shaolin Goju, an ancient Chinese martial art of Kung Fu.
Yogini Mimi studied Vinyasa Flow, Restorative Yoga and Yin Yoga at Pachamama in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, Bikram Yoga in Seattle, Washington, Bhakti Yoga in Los Angeles, and Kung Fu in Chaparral, New Mexico. She has been practicing yoga for over 19 years, and has been practicing Kung Fu and gymnastics for over 30 years. Yogini Mimi has been teaching yoga for over two years in the Atlanta metro area.
Yogini Mimi has her doctorate of naturology and Ph.D. from American Institute of Holistic Theology in Birmingham, Alabama; bachelor's degree in biochemistry from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico; and has studied microimmunobiology at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, and microbiology / immunology at Baylor College of Med in Houston, Texas. The study of the human immune system rounds out her deeper understanding of the body and lifestyle coaching to create a holistic, conscious, balanced approach to the yoga classes, workshops and seminars she offers her students and to her personal practice.
