Ashley began studying yoga, meditation and herbalism at the age of 18 while studying environmental science in the green mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. In 2002 she started her life path as a full time yoga teacher and herbalist. Since this time, Ashley has completed over 500 hours of yoga training and completed a master's of science in clinical herbalism. Her thirst for knowledge has drawn her to study several styles of yoga including Iyengar, Vinyasa, Jivamukti and Kundalini and various herbal traditions. Ashley is the founder of Sky House Yoga and The Body Love Yoga Project, a program that brings yoga to teen girls to increase self-confidence and a healthy body-image.
As an instructor, Ashley emphases the importance of breath and presence in her classes and offers a unique style, blended from her background in yoga, herbalism, and community activism. She is known for her intelligent fusion of spirituality, humor, positivism, and attention to alignment, to move students to a place of greater freedom and joy.
She is the founder and director of Sky House Yoga, a donation-based wellness collective in Silver Spring, MD which was in operation from 2011-2019.
Now, Ashley lives in Minnesota primarily working as a clinical herbalist and plant educator serving students online and in-person throughout the year.
