Julia has been practicing since 2007. After becoming certified at the 200hr level, she went on to complete over 500 hours of training under Michelle Young and Ana Pilar Cruz at My Vinyasa Practice, based in Austin, TX, where she continues to study, teach, practice, and learn.
Julia is trained in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Yoga Nidra, Trauma-Informed Yoga, and Adaptive Yoga, all of which inform her gentle teaching style. Classes can include centering, chanting, pranayama, traditional asana, dynamic movement, meditation, and/or Bhakti (devotion) as part of a commitment to honoring the whole human inside and out.
When she’s not teaching, Julia enjoys studying, reading, and being outdoors. She lives with her partner and a menagerie of animals in southern Colorado, where she’s studying to become a certified yoga therapist. Julia is available for in-person and virtual one-on-one yoga sessions, Dharma talks, mindfulness coaching, and holistic wellness services.
Julia is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
