Kim was introduced to yoga for the first time in February 2011 by a roller derby teammate. After years of wanting to try yoga, she agreed to attend a class. It was exactly what she needed to balance out her Type A personality and passion for a female aggressive sport. She quickly discovered that a regular Baptiste Power Yoga practice not only suited her physically, but transformed her mental state as well, allowing her to find a more peaceful and loving way of life.
In 2012, Kim completed 200 Hour Advanced Vinyasa Teacher Training at Savannah Power Yoga. In June 2013, she completed Level 1 Training with Baron Baptiste.
From there, she went on to complete:
Art of Assisting in November 2013, Level 2 Training in April 2014, Advanced Art of Assisting in February 2015, and Level 3 Training in November 2015.
In December 2015, Kim fulfilled her dream of becoming a Baptiste Certified Teacher.
In August 2017, Kim completed 300 Hours of Advanced Studies in Yoga at Savannah Power Yoga.
In August 2019, Kim received her Tier 2: 750 Hour Certified Baptiste Yoga Educator Credential.
