Dedicated to integrating yoga and mindfulness practices, Janet Lau has served as an international teacher, trainer and retreat leader since 2006. She has presented at TEDx and is a published author, releasing her first book in Chinese, “Living with Yoga and Mindfulness” in 2014.
Janet holds a masters degree in Buddhist studies and combines ancient yoga wisdom and Buddhism into her teaching. As an experienced registered yoga teacher and a teacher in mindfulness meditation, she cultivates an understanding of emotional balance, anatomy as well as yin and vinyasa yoga techniques. She has also assisted Baron Baptiste and Paul Grilley during teacher trainings and has taught on retreat with Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hanh.
Honoured as an ambassador for Easyoga (2010-present) and Lululemon (2009), Janet has been nominated one of the five best yoga teachers in Hong Kong by LifestyleAsia.com (2014). She is regularly featured in newspaper, magazines, and radio talk shows in Southeast Asia.
A guest teacher for MBCT and Mindfulness Programs with Venerable Chang Lin, Janet is actively involved with nonprofit organizations. She works with the Hong Kong Cancer Fund, Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre, I’mperfect and New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association to promote love and harmony in the Hong Kong community.
