Kenyon had been seeking the meaning of life, and wondering what God was since she was a child. This quest eventually put her on a yogic path in the mid 1990s and she became a certified yoga teacher in 2002. After a few years of teaching, she met Gurudev Yogi Amrit Desai who founded the Kripalu style of yoga and later, The Amrit Method of Yoga. It was from his authentic teachings through his direct awakening that her quest of life’s meaning began to be realized.
In 2010 Kenyon underwent a major life transition and soon afterwards moved into Yogi Desai’s ashram in Florida where she stayed for 12 years. There she learned directly from a living Guru and yoga master the transformative power of practicing yoga moment to moment in her life. She served in various roles throughout the ashram including two of those years as Yogi Desai’s personal assistant.
Nature and the plant kingdom have also been significant teachers in Kenyon’s spiritual journey. She enjoys communing with nature as well as making herbal medicine, hiking, dance, and cooking. Pickleball is also a favorite activity to keep things balanced!
Kenyon has been teaching classes, workshops, retreats, and private sessions for decades.
