Sara Syed started practicing yoga during high school in 2008. She found the gift of yoga while she was struggling with addiction, anxiety, eating-disorders and depression. She soon discovered the benefits of yoga and meditation and noticed that these practices provided a sense of peace and relief.
Sara practiced throughout Cleveland, Ohio, until she attended her first yoga teacher training in Cahuita, Costa Rica, in 2014. Since then, Sara has traveled the world practicing, learning, and teaching the subtle art and ancient science of yoga. She has spent hundreds of hours teaching yoga and meditation at universities, fitness centers, local festivals, in public schools, private schools, mental health facilities, juvenile detention centers, and in yoga studios.
Sara completed her 300-hour teaching training program in India in 2016, where she attended Yogadarshanam Ashtanga/Hatha yoga school. While in Mysore, India, Sara also attended the K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute under Saraswathi Jois.
Sara took an additional 200 hours of training with Kino Macgregor through Miami Life Center in 2020.
For meditation, Sara attends 10-day silent meditation retreats in the lineage of the Buddha known as Vipassana. These retreats have greatly attributed to her deep style of meditation practice.
Sara takes a holistic approach to living and believes our entire lifestyle should follow healthy and spiritual guidelines.
Sara makes her classes accessible to students of all experience levels. Her classes focus on synchronizing the breath and body movement to balance the nervous system and the mind. Students leave her class feeling renewed, inspired, empowered and full of love.
