My love for yoga began years ago when I decided to explore another way to get more physically fit and offset the aging process. Wow, was I in for an awesome and life changing surprise! What I discovered after my first yoga practice is how different I felt as a whole was so much more than just physical. I immediately experienced more balance in my mind, body and soul.
Yoga is truly the best for relieving never ending stress one can endure through life's hurdles and adventures. I committed myself in 2009 to make time for my practice, no matter what. It's truly amazing how 1 hour of asana(postures) with pranayama (breath) practice can transform me into a calm, peaceful and tranquil being. Then the added bonuses of realizing you have more energy, strength, flexibility, sturdiness, balance, patience, improved breath, skin tone, youthfulness, awareness...the list goes on. I've never met a yogi who didn't agree 100%. Hence, yoga's growing popularity.
I decided to teach because I am so passionate about yoga, and believe it's great benefits should be shared with whoever has the slightest interest. Whether it's one yogi at a time or a group class. As Maya Angelou said, “When you learn, teach, when you get, give.” So I shall for the rest of my earthly life.
We opened Fusion Yoga & Wellness in 2014 so we could encourage and enable other teachers to do the same, fusing their different styles, creating the perfect blend towards peace and wellness for our students and community.
When our light shines a little brighter, we illuminate the space within and around us, which is then shared with others. Beacons of hope, good health, serenity, and so much more. Yoga is not a destination, but rather a journey. It doesn't matter where we start and there is no finish line. Gina Marie Goodrich is a 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (500 RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS). She is also a Certified Reiki Master/Teacher and teaches all Reiki Practitioner levels.
