We set up Art Awake originally to help creatives access the tools of yoga to reignite their creativity. Employing the tools of yoga to clear the mind to rediscover their deep, inner voice, intuition and creativity.

Life had other plans for us and we started not only offering yoga workshops, we also created a holistic yoga teacher training program to give new yoga teachers a broad and fundamental education and practice in the art of yoga.

Upon completion of the Art Awake Teacher Training (now Awake Yoga) you will experience how yoga works, where it comes from, the philosophy and practice behind the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali,  the meaning and practice of energy work, the basis of functional anatomy, what makes up a balanced yoga practice. Once you know your yoga and how it works in your own life, you can share it with others.

Our teachers from different cultures and backgrounds have much in common but also great diversity of knowledge and experience to share and enrich our training program.

Reviews

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

This training, was mind blowing for me on so many aspects. I am not exaggerating when I say it really changed my life, my vision of life, my way of practicing MY yoga. I met AMAZING people all the way. I learned so much from them, from me. This training opened a door on another aspect of the life I want to have. I will remember it!
