Reviews

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

I graduated from the RYS-200 50 plus Immersion Program at Heartwood Yoga Institute in the Fall of 2022. I absolutely loved my experience, so much so, I have registered for the RYS-300 program with them this coming winter. The option to study with a small group of people my own age was wonderful. There were people from all over the USA and Canada in my class, and everyone was collegial and supportive. I have made many new friends as a result. The program instructors, facilities, resources, and food were excellent. The property is a quiet, beautiful, peaceful environment with lovely gardens and landscaping, and feels very much like a retreat. The studio spaces are inviting and comfortable. All of the instructors and the owners of the school are warm and approachable, and clearly invested in student success. It was very much a supportive environment. They also kept us well fed with an array of delicious vegetarian dishes at lunch and dinner, and a fully stocked kitchen available anytime for breakfast and snacks. I also loved the art studio on site, the meditation gazebo, and all the quiet little spots to sit all over the property. It really is an exceptional place to study, and I can't recommend it enough. I am very much looking forward to returning to continue my studies.
