The cornerstone of our training is to make yoga available to all by offering approachable, inclusive classes. The training is arranged in snippets for ease of learning. Many teachers find that transitioning from one pose to the next is the most challenging component of instruction. By providing training in segments of three (snippets) much of the work is done for the instructor. This approach is the hallmark of our training program. It provides interchangeable snippets so that the instructor is not so dependent on class plans. We believe this makes for a more versatile instructor that can respond to the group class element with ease.

The Edge Yoga Teacher Training Program is committed to providing you a comprehensive knowledge base of yoga asanas (poses.) These asanas can be taught in an array of formats from the stillness of Hatha Yoga to the seamless flow of Vinyasa Yoga. The poses remain the same, while the pace and order of the snippets are decided by the instructor. We focus on a Western style of yoga that aims to improve the physical health of the body while stilling the mind.

It is said that the best instructors remain students throughout life. We look forward to walking alongside you on your journey.

Reviews

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.
