Reviews

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

I am very grateful that my path in life brought me to the Yoga Center Montreux. Patrick and Ardianna Nolfo deeply embody and lovingly share their knowledge and expertise of Hatha Yoga with all their sadhakas during daily practice and especially with those that choose to follow their rigorous 200 hour training throughout the year. The process is highly educational, demanding and wonderfully effective. Discipline and striving for excellence, encouragement and dedication, compassion and precision, laughter and kindness - all elements of their traditional teaching style. I started out this training as a someone that would simply follow a couple of yoga classes per week; after having completed the 200 hour course, I now feel knowledgable and confident to be able to deliver Hatha Yoga classes to others.

After an enriching and intense year (Jan-Dec 2019), I'm extremely thankful to have done my RYT200 with Patrick and Ardiana Nolfo at the YogaCenter in Montreux. Under Patrick and Ardiana’s expert guidance, I watched with amazement as my fellow students and I evolved into yoga teachers. It wasn’t always an easy path but Patrick and Ardiana’s compassionate leadership and support helped us overcome any obstacles (physical, emotional or psychological) that we encountered. Patrick and Ardiana have the gift of knowing when to challenge students to go beyond what they think is possible yet they also know when to offer encouragement. Since Patrick originally trained in India, he taught us to honor the traditional roots of yoga, which deepened our knowledge and understanding of classic Hatha Yoga asanas, pranayama and meditation. Before enrolling in the YogaCenter's RYT200 program, I looked at different options in Switzerland and abroad. As an American, I had originally intended to take the course in English, but since my main criteria was to study with teachers whom I respect, I opted to do the RYT200 with Patrick and Ardiana in French. It was definitely the right decision. If you’ve thought about taking your yoga practice to the next level, I highly recommend it -- especially if you’re fortunate enough to have two beautiful souls like Patrick and Ardiana as teachers. Top Tip: Get an annual membership ("abonnement") at the YogaCenter so that you can take unlimited classes with Patrick and Ardiana. It’s a great way to develop a commitment to your own practice and to learn how to teach yoga by observing them.
