Reviews

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

    Training Program held on Sep 05, 2022—Oct 06, 2022

I did enjoy some of the training here, although I do feel like a lot could be improved. I had a particularly challenging experience with one of the teachers there and was given an alternative to his module which an acceptable alternative at the time, although I do feel like they should maybe get a new teacher as the module he taught was exactly the same as previous years taught by him. As we know, and as I was taught by the teachers on other modules, we learn so much every year about anatomy and how to not touch people inappropriately so I question the judgement on letting him continue working there. The rocket module was very fun and engaging and informative. The Yin module was also very very good, it was probably the module I enjoyed the most. Other students on my course who had done Yin training before however were not so impressed by it. I was most looking forward to the handstand module as I already had a solid practice and wanted to improve. I think it was taught well, but my general feeling about the whole training is that it's not advanced teacher training. It felt very basic overall, I think if I had taken it a year after my 200YTT then maybe I might have reaped the benefits but I had been teaching for 3 years and I was pretty devastated at the cost of it considered the lack of knowledge I went home with. I really think they should be clearer on the level, I do understand it depends on the group but I had been told on my 200hr not to rush into the next training as they are for more advanced teachers. It was so much money and I chose it because I really wanted to learn, I saved up and took 6 weeks off unpaid to do it. So am still feeling pretty upset about the whole experience overall.
