Housed in a beautiful neighborhood studio in Seattle, WA, Wallingford Yoga offers  community classes and private instruction in the Hatha and Kripalu Yoga traditions.  Our experienced teachers specialize in an adaptive approach to yoga, making the practice accessible to a wide variety of abilities including people living with physical limitations and/or chronic health conditions.  Our studio has partnered with Cancer Lifeline in Seattle and is also sponsored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Washington Chapter.  Several our teachers have also offered yoga classes through the Washington State Brain Injury Association.  Our students range in age from 18 years old to 94 years old!

Our 200-Hour Adaptive Yoga Teacher Training program is an in depth training that will prepare you to lead safe and effective multi-level Hatha yoga classes in a variety of settings.  Through the training, you will gain a strong foundation in asana, pranayama, and meditation practices and also in methods of adapting practices to safely and effectively meet a variety of needs including those working with different physical limitations and chronic health conditions.
Our training will also include in depth studies in the philosophy and historical roots of yoga, giving you a rich context for your own practice and life, methods of non-violent communication, as well as a fun and experiential approach to anatomy and physiology.

Our 300-Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Program is designed for those of you who have a 200-Hour Yoga Teaching Certification.  It will give you skills and depth of knowledge to make the transformational practice of yoga accessible to diverse populations.  Offered in a convenient modular format, topics will include "Yoga for Emotional Wellness";  "Advanced Studies in Anatomy and Physiology"; "Yoga for Healthy Aging";  "Somatic Awareness"; "Spiritual Deepening"; and "Yoga for Chronic Health Conditions" to name just a few.

Reviews

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.
