Avatar Yoga School is a yoga training Institute based in the sacred city of Rishikesh, India. We specialize in classical hatha yoga and raja yoga as set forth in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.

The goal of Avatar Yoga School is to empower individuals with the teachings of yoga, which are a remedy to the physical and mental problems common in modern society. We help people learn to live a healthy and peaceful life through the practice of asana, pranayama and meditation, and to pass that knowledge onto others. We believe that by training yoga practitioners to become teachers and to share their knowledge with others in their local communities, we can change the world for the better - one neighborhood, village, town or city at a time.

Due to the fragmenting effect of modern life, many people experience crises of health at some point in their lives. As humankind faces disorders caused by stress and poor health habits, people have increasingly turned to yoga to provide an alternative to invasive health procedures and life-long pharmaceutical dependencies. Yoga teaches you to focus on the source of physical and mental health challenges by the knowledge of ancient practices of India's great Rishis; yoga is the way to healthy living. Avatar Yoga School is committed to transmitting our knowledge by training teachers to spread the practice of healthy living throughout the world.

Reviews

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.
