As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.
Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.
By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

General Comments
I took both my Level 1 & 2 trainings and I am very happy with the course content and how each week builds up. I'm currently working towards a yoga therapy certification and my practice involves working alongside Functional Medicine and integrative medicine doctors. When I was choosing the course and teacher, it was important for me that yoga is presented, taught, and communicated where it can be a supplementary modality in a whole-health care, clinical system that is researched and evidence-based. At the same time feels inclusive that equips students to handle diverse needs. At first, I was hesitant to be learning online thinking that it might not be the most ideal given that this is for complex needs and conditions. But Shawnee is such a great teacher and mentor! The course is designed for virtual learning. The course does not feel hurried (1 month for 25 hours and 2 months for 65 hours). This means I was able to absorb the weekly lessons and apply them to my students while in training! In level 2, we had 2 other supporting teachers in charge of pediatric anatomy and another for music therapy. It was such a complete experience. I'm about to take my Level 3 training in 2022 and I can't wait! Bonus also for me is the topic on the business of yoga. This is a subject that is not usually introduced and most are not very well versed. Talking about the business aspect of yoga balances the services we provide and how to make it sustainable to serve others better. So I appreciate that being a yoga teacher or a yoga therapist is being recognized as a profession and a career.
