Transform NOLA offers two 200-hour yoga teacher trainings each year in a weekend (January) or weekday (September) format, plus a 300-hour advanced training (August).

The 200-hour trainings enable seeking individuals to transform and grow in their practice – and to help others on their journey. It is a mentally, physically and emotionally challenging process designed to enable serious students to take their practice off the mat and into the world. You will practice asana, meditation, and pranayama to the point of proficiency and beyond. Your knowledge of yoga theory will deepen to the point that it becomes a core aspect of the fabric of your life -- and of everything you do and say as a yoga teacher. You will learn to teach classes that combine a consistent integrated vision with the inspired spontaneity that is the hallmark of Vinyasa Yoga. You will develop a thorough understanding of the elements of the principles of yoga and be able to design a class or teach a pose in such a manner that your students will immediately embody those principles.

Our 300-hour Advanced Vinyasa Training enables current teachers to hone their teaching skills and expand their offerings to workshops and retreats. Dive deeper into your yoga practice and connect with your students and others in meaningful and impactful ways. Mia will work closely with Rolf Gates' to present his material and he may give a couple of web conferences and/or come to a session depending on his schedule.

Mia Oramous (E-RYT 500) facilitates the training and has extensive experience in Rolf Gates' teachings and teaching methods. She received her 200-hour training from him in 2008; hosted and attended a 200-hour training in 2010; completed a 300-hour training with him in 2011; and has led teacher trainings since then at Transform NOLA.

Reviews

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

Loved Mia! She is an amazing teacher and I definitely can't wait to see if any more trainings will come up under her name!

Transform NOLA's 200-hour training challenged me in ways I had not considered, but it also grew me in ways that I had not expected. The inner work and the physical practice are perfectly balanced, as all yogic training should be. Full Review
