Peak Beings Yoga is a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with the Yoga Alliance.  Peak Beings Yoga offers IMMERSION and HYBRID (In-person + Online) Trainings that take place in various tropical locations around the world, including Bali, Hawaii, Costa Rica, and Mexico.  We are also offering 8 Week ONLINE Yoga Teacher Trainings every month of the year through Yoga Alliance's provision to approve Online Yoga Teacher Trainings.  Please contact us at peakbeings@gmail.com for additional information or call/text (or Whatsapp) us at 1-808-597-0042.

Our Unified Yoga Teacher Training offers a style of teaching which draws from a variety of different styles including vinyasa, power, ashtanga, yin, restorative, etc.  In general the Unified Yoga Teacher Trainings are based in a hatha vinyasa or flow style of yoga, but you will also experience a variety of different styles of yoga throughout the training to increase your awareness to the various styles of yoga as well as to build a solid foundation for you to grow your own style.  Certification through our Unified Yoga Teacher Trainings will allow you to evolve your yoga practice and teaching as you change and as yoga styles continue to develop. All Unified Yoga Teacher Trainings are multi-dimensional that will not limit you to pursue one style of teaching or practice. Teachers will leave this training having taught a 1.5 hour vinyasa yoga class and with the tools to work with students with a variety of different goals and abilities.

The core philosophy of our trainings is creating a fun, safe and creative space for future teachers to develop and deepen their yoga teaching. Peak Beings approaches the learning process from many different approaches including communicative, contemplative, and experiential. We welcome students who are looking to teach yoga or who are just looking to deepen and explore their practice. In addition to learning to guide a yoga class, we will cover many other topics including yogic philosophy, history, meditation, chakras, and chanting. All graduating teachers will be recognized by the Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). All Yoga Teacher Trainings are guided by Troy McPeak (E-RYT 500).  Troy has guided over 35 Yoga Trainings and has had hundreds of graduates from his trainings.  Please check out our reviews from past students to give you an idea about their experiences.

Email peakbeings@gmail.com OR call/text (or Whatsapp) us at 1-808-597-0042 if you have any additional questions.

Reviews

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

    Training Program held on Sep 16, 2018—Oct 10, 2018

This Peak Beings Yoga Teacher Training was one of the best things I didn't even know I needed in my life. I chose this one kind of randomly based on the timing and a desire to deepen my own yoga practice, and, upon completing it, I left feeling that this had been THE perfect training for me, feeling the urge to teach, and most surprisingly, the CONFIDENCE that I would actually succeed at it. And I felt more confident and secure not only in regards yoga, but with myself in general, something that's in the past been a challenge. This training is set up to where, I believe, you can get as much out of it as you want, in whichever areas you choose to focus your yoga practice on (chanting, meditation, pranayamas, asanas, or the energy body, etc). Troy is very knowledgeable through his years of teaching (including 20 YTTs!!) and presents the content in a way that's organized and easy to digest and offers us students plenty of time and opportunities for our own self-discovery, which is an important foundation for any yoga practitioner. The "Unified" part is unique in that it presents a more realistic, adaptive and safe approach to the postures and prepares us students to teach a variety of classes to multiple levels of future students. As I'd imagine is the case with any 200-hour course, some days felt longer than others, and some days were draining for different reasons. But what was nice about this training is that being over 25 days, it probably provided more breaks and much-needed time to regroup and reset than so many of the shorter trainings. I also think it attracted a pretty amazing group from all over the world, which speaks to Troy because I know he took the time to text, email, and talk to make sure all of our questions were answered and that we were a good fit. With almost a month together, it would have been natural to become close as a group, but I swear we ended up like family (cheesy but true!), in big part due to the supportive environment that Troy created, and now I have quality friends all over the world to visit and take yoga classes from. Thanks Troy (and Tara) for such a wonderful experience!!!

    • Syllabus Reflection

To what extent do you feel this program met the following learning objective; The student will become confident with human anatomy within the context of teaching yoga

      Entirely

The training was very organized and in a manner that was very conducive to learning. It was clear that Troy spent a lot of time and energy preparing and extracting the most important and relevant pieces.

This was truly a transformational training. The knowledge shared from Troy to all of us in the training was substantial, yet always felt very digestible. I would encourage anyone considering taking a training to reach out to Peak Beings and connect with Troy. Full Review

I highly recommend Troy's teacher training to anyone looking to learn about the practice of yoga. I originally signed up to learn about yoga and now I am fully immersed as a teacher & even started Aerial yoga! Troy's training really gives you the foundation to excel as a new yoga teacher. There is so much to learn so I am still reviewing the material because I always learn something new each time! I loved the practice asanas and mediations. The history lectures were very interesting and the anatomy section really helps you understand people's body's are different! Meaning, everyone can do yoga, it's just a matter of finding what makes sense for you! I am so glad I took Troy's class because I believe it really gave me the foundation I needed to excel on the teacher side. I would love to do an in-person 300 hr with him in the future timing and availability permitted. Full Review
